Alan has a Bachelor in Design and a Bachelor in Fine Art from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD) in Halifax. He has over a decade of experience in communication design, a comprehensive theoretical and technical knowledge base, and expertise designing for both 2D and 3D environments.

Alan has worked for clients throughout the Atlantic provinces, across Canada and internationally, and has worked on a range of design projects including: report designs, stationary, posters, brochures, banners, books and publications, visual identity design, branding strategy, and artwork for animation. Alan also has specialized experience in environmental graphic design, having worked on exhibit designs for a multitude of museums and visitor centres, way-finding systems, and interpretive signage programs.

Alan has worked with VIDEOBAND since its inception, on projects ranging from VIDEOBANDʼs own visual identity design and branding strategy, to the companyʼs website design, to animation work for documentaries. Alan is the owner and operator of a networked design
