ABOUT VIDEOBAND

VideoBand is an award-winning, Canadian based production company that produces documentaries about conservation, climate change, and outdoor adventure. Inspirational documentaries are our prefered method to take on tricky cultural issues and we work with organizations like NGOs, to make the world a better place by helping to change our relationship with it.

ABOUT CRAIG

Craig Norris, BBA
Director, Photographer, DP & Editor

With an impressive background in marketing, photography and videography, Craig Norris often works the roles of director, DP and editor. He is a crafty storyteller, gravitates to interesting characters and knows how to connect with the target audience.  Aesthetically Norris’ work, both film and photography, is very much inspired by post 1960’s Magnum and National Geographic photographers like Steve McCurry, Larry Towell, Thomas Abercrombie, William Albert Allard and David Allan Harvey.

Ben Phillips, BFA, BA, MSc
Producer, Writer, Researcher

 

BIO

As an artist and environmental scientist, Ben has long studied local ecosystems both aesthetically and scientifically. He holds a bachelor degree in fine art from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (1999), as well as a bachelor degree in environmental studies (2007) and a masterʼs degree in environmental science (2009) from Mount Allison University. Upon completion of his masterʼs degree, he was the recipient of a Governor Generalʼs Gold medal for academic performance.

Blake Stillwell
Jib Operator, Cinematographer, Animator, Visual Effects

BIO

Blake Stilwell was born in Saint John New Brunswick, and graduated with a diploma in Television and Video Production from NBCC in Woodstock. After freelancing back in his home town, and doing a stretch at CBC as an ENG shooter and editor, Blake migrated to Moncton to join the PostMan team in 2008. Since becoming the resident animation
and visual effects lead at the Moncton office, Blake has worked on countless feature
films, documentaries, music videos, commercials and television series.

Marc Landry
Audio Engineer

 

BIO

Marc Landry is a freelance audio engineer working in music production, live sound, and audio post production. After graduating with honors from the Electronics Engineering Technology program at NBCC Moncton in 2006, Marc worked as a biomedical engineering technologist at the
Georges-L,-Dumont University Hospital Centre. After six years of working as an
electronics technologist, Marc set off in a new direction towards the pursuit of his first
passion: Audio.

Alan White, BFA, BDES
Graphic Designer

 

BIO

Alan has a Bachelor in Design and a Bachelor in Fine Art from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD) in Halifax. He has over a decade of experience in communication design, a comprehensive theoretical and technical knowledge base, and expertise designing for both 2D and 3D environments.
